Seattle Immigration Attorney Carol L. Edward

Carol L. Edward Attorney Carol L. Edward, principal of the Law Offices of Carol L. Edward & Associates, P.S., has provided legal services in U.S. Immigration and Citizenship related matters since 1984. She is herself the daughter of immigrants and holds dual citizenship with the United States and Canada. Attorney Edward is engaged in a wide variety of Immigration cases ranging from business related matters to family, asylum, and deportation and removal. She received her J.D. cum laude from Seattle University and her bachelor degree in Business from University of California, Davis. Ms. Edward has a number of published cases within the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Seattle Immigration Attorney Eric P. Lin

Eric P. Lin is an experienced attorney who has been practicing immigration law for the past ten years. He received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from UCLA, is a graduate of the University of Washington, School of Law.

Mr. Lin is an experienced litigator and appellate attorney, having tried countless cases before the Immigration Courts, as well as on appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice also encompasses family and business immigration, as well as a strong focus on political asylum. In addition to his practice, he has dedicated many hours of free legal service to legal clinics, and has successfully represented many clients on a pro bono basis.

Mr. Lin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and previously served as an officer in the local chapter of AILA. He remains active in the organization and has previously presented at conferences on a variety of immigration issues. He is also a member of the Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW).

Seattle Immigration Attorney Julia C. Hunter

Julia Hunter joined the Law Offices of Carol L. Edward in May 2019. Julia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007 from Dickinson College and a Juris Doctor in 2014 from the University of San Diego School of Law. From September 2014 until September 2016, Julia served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Tacoma Immigration Court, a detained court within the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Department of Justice, entering on duty through the Attorney General's Honors Program. From September 2016 until June 2018, Julia served as an attorney advisor to the Immigration Judges at the Seattle Immigration Court. From June 2018 until May 2019, Julia worked as an Associate Attorney with Beacon Immigration where she represented clients before the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Court as well as assisted clients with affirmative applications for citizenship, lawful permanent residency, nonimmigrant visas, and waivers before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

During law school, Julia interned with several immigration law firms and participated in the Ninth Circuit Appellate Clinic. Before law school, Julia worked as a paralegal with Foley Hoag LLP in Washington D.C. in the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice, focusing on litigation before the International Court of Justice and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. Julia is fluent in Spanish. Julia is a member of the California State Bar and Washington Bar. Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking around the Pacific Northwest with her husband and dogs Lola and Frankie.
